Living to Please the Lord

The Lord tells us in the Bible, "Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody." (I Thessalonians 4:11-12)

My goal with this blog is to find and share ideas for living a simple life that is pleasing to the Lord. I would like to be more organized, to clean sweep all the extra junk, stop buying useless things, eat healthier, plant a garden, eat home-cooked meals, eat out less, buy more local items, learn to fix things on my own, make handcrafted gifts, spend less and save more. As I look out at the grapevine in the back yard, I am encouraged  by knowing that the Lord always provides for me exactly what I need.
